Klingon Word of the Day for Wednesday, January 21, 2026

Klingon word: Qay'
Part of speech: verb
Definition: use the little toe
_______________________________________________

rav Qay'
touch the floor with the little toe (HQ 10.2)

PUN: "this little piggy CRIED 'wee wee wee' all the way home"

(HQ 10.2:11): the phonetic identity of {Qay'} "use the little toe" and {Qay'} "blow one's top, lose one's temper" is probably not accidental, as evidenced by the idiomatic expression {'oy'qu' Qay'wI'wIj}, literally "my little toe aches a lot", which means "I'm extremely angry."

SEE:
yaD toe (n)

To review, the other toe verbs/nouns are:

mar/marwI' big toe
Hom/HomwI' second toe
