Klingon word: Dem'ot mIr
Part of speech: noun
Definition: direct current/DC
Source: qepHom 2024
_______________________________________________

(qepHom 2024, p. 35): The second part [of {Dem'ot mIr} or {nIq mIr}] is {mIr} "chain". Maltz wasn't sure, but he thought that {nIq} was shortened from {nIqwI'} "weaver" because of the back-and-forth motion of weaving. He wasn't aware of {nIq} (a noun) being used elsewhere. But, of course, he's not aware of everything. {Dem'ot}, a noun, can be translated as "flow" in the sense of continuous motion.

(qepHom 2024 REQUEST): Important word for electric circuits: direct current
