The number of chemical elements we have in Klingon is growing every year now. Now we have all elements 1-20. Now that we're getting more and more element words, I wanted to check the chemistry vocabulary of Klingon against the Landau Core Vocabulary.

===Chemistry=== (Part IV)

base (opposite of acid): 'evtlhev

be radioactive: ???

periodic table: tamler wa'chaw

Yeah, so "platinum" would be a useful element name that we don't already have. "Radon" and "radium" too -- I didn't use to have them on the LCV, but added them when I saw them on the element list of the science vocabulary extension to that simple English news radio station that only uses 1,600 basic words.
