SEE ALSO:
tangqa' bull-like animal, *tangkar* (n) GILGAMESH
QI'tu' tangqa' Bull of Heaven (n) GILGAMESH

(MO, HQ 9.4): In the epic, Gilgamesh and Enkidu battle the Bull of Heaven. The Klingon translation (allegedly found on a barren planetoid) contains the phrase: {QI'tu' tangqa'}. Although {QI'tu'} "heaven" is a familiar enough term, {tangqa'} is clearly something new. Maltz graciously provided the following brief explanation: There's this Klingon animal, you see, which is kind of bull-like. It's called a {tangqa'}. Both male and female ones are called {tangqa'}. So it doesn't really mean bull. But it certainly looks like one. Or more like a bull than anything else.

tlhuQ tail (n)
pu' horn; spike (n)
  - "The horn of an animal, same word as the spike on a boot (or a spike in general). When clarity is called for, say {Ha'DIbaH pu'} or {DI'raq loD pu'}. The plural of {pu'} is either {pu'mey} or {pu'Du'}, depending on the specific meaning of (pu'}." (The Little Prince)

nIm milk (n)
qulcher cream (n)
wIlpuq pudding (n)

Do not confuse with the noun {qaw} "memory" (i.e. the ability).
