_______________________________________________
(qep'a' 2020): This applies to whatever it is that Klingons do to applaud or show approval/appreciation. The most common way to refer to the clapping that Humans do is by the phrase {toch yo} "slap palm(s)".
TREK NOTES:
In 2152 during Archer's trial ("tribunal") for fomenting revolt and conspiring against the Klingon Empire, the spectators in the gallery banged their spears on the floor while chanting "J'hak! J'hak!" as Archer entered, which his advocate Kolos translated as "Enemy" [{jagh}]. (ENT "Judgment")
< Scott bangs on the table in applause. Kirk presses a button and a small tabletop lamp blinks >
KIRK: Scotty, Scotty. In Argelius they use the lights.
SCOTT: Now no one has to tell an old Aberdeen pub-crawler how to applaud, Captain. (TOS "Wolf in the Fold")
