Klingon word: Qo
Part of speech: noun
Definition: tendency, propensity
Source: qep'a' 27 [2020]
_______________________________________________
(qep'a' 2020 REQUEST): "inclination toward a particular characteristic or behavior"
AFAIK not used in a sentence.
USED BY OKRAND IN ENGLISH:
(KGT 138-9): Only in the case of {''} (as in {pa''a'} ["big room"]) ... is there a tendency in both groups [i.e. older & younger speakers] to reduce the {''} to a single {'}, though a somewhat prolonged gap between the preceding and following {a} is hardly unknown or archaic-sounding.
TREK NOTES:
"Matter and antimatter have a tendency to cancel each other out-violently." (Kirk, TOS "The Alternative Factor")
According to the Doctor, a deviated spine is a "genetic tendency" in Klingon females. Both B'Elanna and her mother Miral had it and B'Elaanna had corrective surgery when she was very young. (VOY "Lineage")
These examples are metaphorical in English - there's no behavior involved. Possible in Klingon?
