AFAIK not used in a sentence.

(HQ 12.2:7):  the top of a cane (whether one used ceremonially or one that is simply a walking aid) is the {chaS}. It would be odd to hear either of these referred to as a {megh'an} or a {'er'In}. 

TREK NOTES:
The Nagal staff was a sceptre carried by the Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Alliance as a symbol of his authority and power. The figurehead was that of a Ferengi man (cf. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Grand_Nagus%27_staff )
