Wow.

Toki Pona has two different sign languages.

One is a signed representation of spoken Toki Pona, like Signed English, which I learned nearly 50 years ago.

The other is a “natural” sign language with its own grammar, word order, and the use of space, direction, motion… like American Sign Language, which I’ve learned more recently.

So, if I become proficient at the “natural” version of signed Toki Pona, I’d achieve a level of nerdiness that would make Klingon speakers seem so… mainstream...

The hard part, of course, would be to come up with nice things to say…

I just hope my brain is still plastic enough to pull that off…

And, of course, I’d have even FEWER people to talk to using the language…
