Ok, thanks. This is what I was trying to understand.

Hearing "I hide myself" sounds strange, since it gives me the impression
that "me" and "myself" are two different things, with the "me" hiding the
"myself".

Perhaps I'm not making sense, but this obviously has to do with my
influence from Greek.
