(qepHom 2019): {Qav} means last, final; it does not mean previous or most recent, so when talking about the last qep'a' you shouldn't use {Qav}, unless it's definitely the last one ever.
(KGT 177): On the other extreme, when {-DIch} is attached to {Hoch} (all), the resulting word, {HochDIch} ("allth") is used as an alternate for {Qav} (be final, last) to refer to the final one of a series whose members either were counted or could have been counted, as in {pIpyuS pach HochDIch DaSoppu'} ("You've eaten the last pipius claw"). The word also may be used to describe the final step of a process. Speaking of the Rite of Ascension, one might say {'oy'naQ Dachu'Ha'DI' mIw HochDIch Data'} ("When you turn the painstik off, you accomplish the last step").
(HQ 12.2:9): For the end [of a list (of names or words)], one could say {pong HochDIch} "last name" or {mu' HochDIch} "last word", but one could also use a special term for the end of the list, {natlIS}.
(Okrand to qurgh, 9/01/2010): [For] "The Final Reflection" … if reflection, as in image in a mirror is needed, he [Maltz] offered {neSlo' tonSaw' Qav}.
(ghunchuwI’, 8/01/2017]: It's an interpretative translation of the name of a book [by John Ford]: "The Final Reflection". The reference is to a variant of a Klingon chess-like game [i.e. klinzha] in which the player is simultaneously trying both to capture the goal and to move to avoid letting the goal be captured.
