AFAIK {'aDHom} has never been used in a sentence.

(qepHom 2015, p.14):   "vein" is {'aD}.  In general usage, this means either a vein or an artery, so a better translation might be "blood vessel".  In medical usage, however, doctors and so on make a distinction between {mej'aD} "artery" and {paw'aD} "vein".  Maltz said that he thought that earlier these were {mejmeH 'aD} and {pawmeH 'aD}, but over time they were shortened.

CULINARY NOTES:
(KGT 97):  Food-preparation knives, of which there are many types, come in different sizes and shapes for different cutting tasks... For finer work (such as making the slits in limbs needed to extract veins), a small {SIjwI'} (literally, "slitter") is commonly employed.

(KGT 99):  Each dish [nay'] is brought to the table (raS) on a platter ('elpI'), usually made of metal. The food is arranged not haphazardly but in a way that helps the food look appealing. For example, in some dishes, pieces are placed with the veins clearly visible so that the blood still inside them can be seen.
