Klingon word: cha'nob
Part of speech: noun
Definition: ritual gifts
_______________________________________________

(KCD): Presents brought by a close family ally to celebrate the coming of age of a young man or woman. They are to be opened before the actual ritual, as they are believed to bring the youth strength and courage. Traditionally, the gifts include money, food, and tokens of family history. Although grammar tells us that the number is unspecified, to bring only a single gift would be a horrendous insult.

The KCD Language Lab illustrates a {lopno'} by showing a group of Klingons gathered around a table with food and {cha'nob} gifts. (KCD)

CULTURAL NOTES:
Unlike humans, Klingons do not give gifts at weddings. (Worf, TNG "Data's Day")
