Verbs which can take an object do not necessarily need to have one.
Since a person is doubtly a place to reside at, I would interpret his
phrase as "cause yourself to reside", without the same person being the
object of the verb.

(Setting aside any usage or meaning of the phrase.)

A more daily usage phrase may be {yISop'eghmoH} "Cause yourself to eat".
