Klingon word: pet
Part of speech: verb
Definition: be welded (together)
Source: qepHom 2016

Cf. also {petqaD} "bone-knitter" (medical device).

It's probable that {pet} was back-derived from {petqaD}, which presumably does the job of welding (maybe even literally) bones together. {petqaD} is, of course, "duck tape" backwards, which makes {pet} "tape" in reverse.
