Indeed, this is really interesting, and it's not so wrong to think about
this. As Felix explained with PB, the sounds [t] and ['] are very close.
I even use this fact for beginners to explain how to do the glottal stop
at the end of word, saying like "think of the word bed, and then forget
the final sound". Or "pit" to say {pI'}.
