No, the glosses are pretty clear that the object is something you're
looking for. For "search" as in "look through, examine" you'd use something
like {'avwI' vInuD} "I examine the guard" or perhaps {'avwI'Daq nuHmey
vInej} "I search for weapons in/on the guard".
