My only experience with gender problem in describing marriage, is in a scenario where all marriage is normal man-to-woman, {Sawchuqpu'wI'pu' puqloD ghaHbe'} for "he is not a son of people who had married each other" intended to mean "he is illegitimate", in describing briefly a legal dispute over inheritance of land, in a short story that I wrote, which is now at http://www.appleyard.flagonsrealm.com/startrek/They_have_been_here_before.htm
