This is one of several Klingon verbs that can be translated as "predict". {ghut} is further explained as "based on an aching bunion or Spidey-sense or if it's just a wild guess".

This needs to be more specific: ghut predict (based on intuition or wild guess), because we also have 'aq predict (based on deductive reasoning or science) and qut predict (fraudulently or as an act).
