Because plural suffixes are usually optional, and I can't think of a 
difference in meaning between *HochHom qep'a'* and *HochHom qep'a'mey* 
that corresponds to the difference in meaning of *Hoch qep'a'*/each 
conference/ and *Hoch qep'a'mey*/all conferences/ that you're thinking of.
